From 26 to 28 September 2025, The Remarkables is celebrating 40 years of skiing with the return of its Spring Carnival. Expect retro ski outfits, classic 80s music, and a weekend of fun on the slopes.

Four Decades of Skiing and Snowboarding

Since opening in 1985, The Remarkables has grown into one of Queenstown’s most iconic ski areas. The Spring Carnival was once a regular fixture on the calendar, and this year it makes a comeback to mark 40 years on the slopes.

The theme is simple — dig out your brightest retro ski gear and make it a weekend to remember. From neon ski suits to old-school headbands, it’s about celebrating the mountain’s history in style while enjoying some of the best late season snow.

Weekend Highlights

• Friday brings family fun, face painting, and games on the snow
