It’s that time of year again. The flags are flying, the slopes are calling, and Queenstown is about to sparkle a little brighter. Winter Pride is back, and whether you’re here for the parties, the powder, or just the good vibes, we’re absolutely here for it.

Running all week long, this iconic festival brings together locals and travellers alike for an unforgettable mix of mountain events, après-ski fun, and community connection. There’s something for everyone — from dancefloor lovers to hot tub dwellers and everything in between.

Our Favourite Day? Easy. It’s Onesie Day.

This year it’s happening on Sunday 17th August and it’s hands down one of the best days to be up the mountain. You’ll see everything from fluffy dinosaurs to glittering unicorns carving down the slopes, and honestly, nothing lifts the winter mood like a giant rainbow of onesie-clad skiers and boarders.

Whether you’re going all out or just going to watch it all unfold with a hot chocolate in hand, make sure you don’t miss it.

Getting Around

The best way to experience the full Winter Pride schedule is with your own set of wheels. Public transport doesn’t quite hit all the stops (especially after the after-party), and with events spread out across Queenstown, a rental car gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace.

Just remember — no drink driving. Seriously. If you’re partying, your car isn’t. Find a designated driver, book a ride, or just stay the night. Trust us, nothing ruins a Pride outfit like court-ordered community service.
